These items can be seen below: Having gathered the requisite hardware and fleshed out some of our project’s nuances, our current development roadmap is roughly as follows: Immediate Next Steps - Conduct dynamic systems study with vibration motors to identify ideal location, intensity, and type of stimulus applied to the user during simulated warning scenario - Determine ideal mounting angles, locations, and sensing range for ultrasonic sensors on helmet - Filter ultrasonic sensor output to only useful data - Write algorithm to apply varying haptic stimulus based on distance readings Follow-up Steps - 3D print motor, sensor, and Arduino mounting brackets, or use tape/hot glue if development and manufacturing timeline is too long - Test fully-functional prototype in dynamic biking environment We plan to have all immediate next steps completed by Checkpoint 2 (5/27)
